I would say, if the fan let go and took out the rad, that you have a cause for action against whoever sold you the fan. You could make the case that they owe you for both the fan and the radiator.

I can't see much point staying with an engine driven fan on a car that is clearly modified and not going to be entered for any concours show. Put a decent electric fan on it with or without a thermos
