Also bird-strikes. I have always done it and got some clever "expecting rain?" comments for my pains, but a couple of years ago came back to find an enormous splash on the cover which would otherwise

The front corner snaps (on the windshield posts) of my B's full tonneau keep coming loose, drives me crazy! I've been told there are better fasteners for this purpose. Has anyone got the scoop on thi

I have the same problem with my tonneau. it's kinda old, and i guess it has shrunk just a tiny bit from it's original fitting. It's bloody hard to get the poppers onto the windshield posts. I find th

Same problem, different day ;) I ended up making a small piece about 1 inch long and put a snap on each end of it (sort of an extension) one snap fits on the tonneau and one on the snap on the post.

My 73s tonneau is secured with Lift-the-Dot fastners screwed through the dash-top rather than press-studs on the windscreen frame - little chance of them popping off. PaulH. keep for they help.

The original tonneau for my '75 had a small brass grommet in the corner of the flap that covers the roll-up windows in the door and tucks in behind the vent window, and then there was the button fas

I'm having difficulty visualizing where does a tonneau snap to the windshield posts? I have two, and they both snap down in three places on the cowl (top of dashboard), and on the outside of the door

At the bottom of the windshield post, on the inside, just above the corner of the dash should be a snap. Maybe different models have these snaps on the dashboard itself. I dunno. cheers Joe _________

My '74 has the snaps as noted below with a lift the dot at the middle of the dash. I do agree that the snaps are pain to snap and keep snapped. It would be much better if they were lift the dots rath

I have seen a special snap used on boat covers which looks pretty much like a regular snap but the male part is asymetrical so that you have to lift from one side to release it. Look in marine supply

You can order those snaps from your LBC parts distributor. All it takes to remove/replace them is a small flat screwdriver and/or needlenose piers. Well, there is probably a special tool but we can't
