My '74 TR6 (built in Dec 1973 according to the plate inside the LH door frame) has the big rubber over-riders on the bumpers. Various sources say this didn't start until 1975. Are the sources wrong,

Just a further note. A lot of people think it's a "silly safety regulation" since rubber bumpers don't really help safety. However, it was actually more designed for insurance companies than safety.
