I am thinking of building a new motor for my '65 and want to know if I go to a 6 bolt 289 (or 302) will I have to change the tranny tunnel in any way? What about headers? Anything else significant?

I had a guy looking at my car while it was parked tonight and he claimed he had a Tiger with a 289 way back when. He said he didn't remember having a hole on both sides of the steering column shell (

My MK II has the hole on both sides. Right blocked off, turn stalk comes out the left side.
