Dip stick # 1224808 does not have a corresponding Ford part number. The dip stick tube is C20Z-6754-A. All the dip sticks I have laying around have a Ford logo stamped into them but no part number.

YES, I have been told by the Tiger Experts that they came with the bell/cover but when I bought B9470622 in 1971 it was missing. When I bought B9470585 in 1995 it was missing.. I can't imagine 2 ind

My Tiger 1A has the bell cap intact. Without it, it seems the dipstick would go into the tube further, giving an incorrect reading. The cap is held onto the stick by a small staked area on the edges

My MKIA B382002668 has the dust cap. It can be easily removed by sliding it around the finger pull. It has a small fiber washer inside the cap. Perhaps to seal in vaoprs ??? Dave Johnson
