When we got our Bridgeport, we used a friend's tow truck to lift it off the flatbed that brought it to our house. We then moved it to the back of the garage by putting some steel tubing on the floor

Yep, that seems to be the standard method. However, my Gorton mill isn't flat on the bottom. It has little cast-in feet at the corners, about an inch high, perfect for lousing up easy rolling. I had
