- Hi listers Can someone help me with the proper colour of a series 5 engine block. I have 2 S5 Alpines one has a blue block the other a hammer finish green is either correct for 1967 Regards Tony Sout

- I know virtually all Series engines were black, but given that the Fastback cars had blue engines, I wonder if some of the later SV's might also have been painted blue. Just a thought.> From: CANISDO

- I think an engine can be any color / colour you wish it to be.. mine is red, with black and chrome.ad polished Aluminum. Kinda nice ,,,for me.. Of Course. Chuck Ser ll ser V engine, OD tranny and lot
