Take a look at the last issue of Classic Motorsports- in the MG Midget rebuild series there's a whole article on rebuilding front calipers and they split 'em.

When I rebuilt mine on the racecar, I used the torque wrench to get a value while loosening the bolts. I then went to the same torque while tightening. I haven't had any problem in 3 + years of racin

This is from memory, so it might be wrong. There are two pairs of bolts, the inners and the outers. I think the inners are longer. The inners get torqued to 65 or so, the outers get torqued to 45 or
