Interesting question... I have not heard of doing that, but it "sounds" logical. I know I'm careful with braking for the first light drives on a new set of pads - letting them bed in to the rotors.

The issue of bedding in new pads is more of an issue of getting the pads to off gas. Those gases will reduce the stopping ability of the pads. Did the pads come with any bedding instructions? Sanding
