I've noticed most of the vintage racers use SUs instead of Strombergs. On my TR 6 I had the webers but I'm now driving a Lola with a Lotus twin cam. It has the Stromberg head and the Weber heads are

Hi John, you've got the HS6 and not the H6 if I remember well ? (on the 3A stock carbs are the SU H6) Maybe it makes a difference in fuel supply`? You may try enlarging the needle seat hole, a trick
