In a word, No! They did play around with disc conversions on the rear - but these were on the rally cars and it was found that cars equipped with larger disc and rear drums braked better. Jonmac ____

With regard to FIA, I haven't a clue - but I'd doubt it. While TR's were factory prepared (I think for Sebring?) the majority of competition work from 1965 thru 1973-ish was mostly with the 2000 and

I do not think that this conversion was allowed until about 1983 or so. Prior to that, there were quite a few limits on what you were allowed to change. A 1972 GCR Triumph Prod car is a LOT different
