On the 1.75" carbs, the strombergs have a shallower float bowl, and the floats aren't oriented optimally. On the SU's, the float bowls are deeper and you can orient the float pivots toward the front

I stumbled a lot in the turns with my HS6s. Re-oriented the float bowl tops and floats from side to side to front to back using MGB lids and it solved the problem. Sent from my Verizon Wireless Black
