If you shim the pedestals, you change the angle of the contact on the valve from the rocker. If you have roller rockers, it may not matter, but with the stock rockers , you will get wear. I've seen i

Hi Jim ! If you raise the pedestals then you alter the geometry and your rockers will not work properly, in particular in you have a higher lift cam than stock. When valve is at half lift, then the r

I run shims under the pedestals. 1.5 mm thick. They work fine with stock rockers. Cheers Chris --Urspr|ngliche Nachricht-- Von: fot-bounces@autox.team.net [mailto:fot-bounces@autox.team.net] Im Auftr

Only drove two of them. One (stock) belonged to a daughter's boyfriend. He foolishly allowed me to take him for a ride. A little Nurburgring is nearby. Scared him silly. The other one had a paxton bl

Kas has described that tweak but this was with racing pushrods. The stock pushrods have welded ends...no chance to drive them in after the lathe job! Cheers Chris --Urspr|ngliche Nachricht-- Von: fo

Rocker arm geometry is critical. You want the rocker to have the same angle downwards at full lift that it has upwards on the cam base circle (where the valve clearance is set). You get that right fi

Thanks everybody for the input. I have no doubt the way to go will be the correct pushrod length but for thisB upcoming race it will be 1/16" shims. The measurements taken so far show 1/16" should be

Terry, over the years I've talked to lots of TVR guys who are suffering much worse than we with their big slicks and higher Horsepowers. No one has a solution so far. I drilled and tapped the bottom
