- You shouldn't need a residual pressure valve for the drums. I'm not sure what you have, if it's a variable restrictor it's for changing the front/rear bias then it might be useful, though I don't car

- If you are talking about a residual pressure valve, as the factory installed on earlier cars, then I would say No, you don't need it. Instead you need to install the uprated front axles and bearing

- Seems to be a bit of confusion here. Disk brakes generally need a residual pressure valve which keeps a bit of pressure on the pucks to prevent them from being withdrawn too much by seal elasticity.
