I'm looking to change the alternator on my TR6 racer. Would like to go to an aluminum pulley of a larger diameter to decrease the alt. speed. Past postings have mentioned using a Denso alternator. W

I race a TR6 with a small alternator from a Suzuki swift half the weight and twice the power of the Lucas. Ive fitted a slightly larger pulley about 2.5 inch . Needs slight mod to mount . Takes high

Hey Allen, I use a Mini Denso Alternator #13214 from DB Electrical 1.800.753.2242. This is the same alternator that is found on the Suzuki Swift. Small yet powerful enough. I also added a 4" Alumnium

Ebay has a person selling 30amp Kubota (Denso) alternators, new, unused for $50 per (150081373333). I have an email into him to find out how the pulley is attached, as I would look to change it out.

I neglected to say this was in an Alfa ITB car. In it though, I used the bottom mount and had to fabricate the top mount. I also had to shim it slightly to align it with the crank pulley. ___________
