I've used bronze guides for many years, never a problem. Key is a trusted machinist as Steve states. Mine has been building British race engines for more than thirty years. He even tapered the guides

For my part I put the main interest on reliability. Even if the guids are proper made, if things going wrong bronze guids can make it worse. Imagine that the engine loses coolant, the head heats up.

I am kicking around the idea of replacing my dual axle open aluminum trailer with an enclosed trailer. Current trailer tows fantastic, mileage is great and you don't even know its back there. However

I'm happy with my open trailer, but if i went to an enclosed one I'd lean towards a 'FUNRUNNER'..You roll the car out, and then the bunks, etc. are lowered into the space where the car was. RB -- Ori
