As it is not the original engine (later Healey/Sprite, Mini, Metro, Cooper?), the timing mark may be on the flywheel. Or perhaps the original pulley was replaced due to damage or not of the proper ty

Ron, the 1275 crank pulley should have a small notch on the circumference on the edge BEHIND the fan belt groove. This location was probably selected by the same folks who decided to put the timing d
