The austin gypsy used a 1.6 liter flathead, if I am not mistaken. The 100 motor is the same as the A90 motor (similar to A70 as well) which was derived from the Austin Princess Limo ( and sheerline?)

As others have said this engine is more like the A70 2.2 litre than the A90 2.6 litre as used with small changes on the 100. It is however a later version and was also used in other commercial vehic
