Fer cryin out loud don't wrap a chain around the engine!! Remove 2 head nuts, one front and one rear, and use a length of chain (or equivalent) that'll slip over a head stud and replace the nuts. Jus

I used the brackets that Moss sells for this purpose, attached to the studs which hold the valve cover on. They were strong enough to hold both the engine and the gearbox. If you look at some of the

I just replaced my motor/gearbox combo and having a tilt mechanism on the hoist makes the job a lot easier. Here are some pictures which show how much the unit needs to be tilted. Attachment points
