Haven't seen this particular problem before (camera make and model? how were you trying to 'load?' are the photos stored on compact flash or SDCard?, etc.?), but .... I'm afraid you're probably SOL,

The camera is a Canon D10. the photos are on a Compact Flash disk and I have to use a card reader to download them to my computer. After I upgraded my computer to Windows 7 this was the only means to

You might try some one with a linux program such as Ubuntu on their machine as I have found that sometimes Windows will not see the card or call it corrupt, where as Ubuntu will see it and you can ge
