On the restos I have done I assembled the two parts of the inner together (using plug welds) first. Then these are put into position relative to the outriggers and the rear and front fender wells. O

Fit braces in the door openings before you start taking out the sills, you can either spot-weld or clamp them. You can leave the engine in or take it out, but no changes during the repair process Kee

Herb,The engine and transmission does not need to be in the car when welding in the inner sills, floor panels etc. That being said, I am afraid this will not fix problems of structural integrity. You
