Hi Stephen, I took a cheap 6" Three-Jaw puller from Harbor Freight and ground down the back side of the puller hooks so they would slide behind the gear. The grinding was required to use this puller

I believe you use the puller to put tension on the gear then you whack it with a rubber mallet which makes it "pop" loose so to speak. John _______________________________________________ Support Te
