i may be wrong but i think a light coat of WD 40 would do. get them dry first. ron rader , to inhibit rust on the brake discs and drums during a prolonged restoration? _______________________________

Any waxy coating will do like waxoil. However remove the pads and shoes beforehand and clean the surface very well with white spirits or similar to remove all waxy traces before fitting the pads and
