On the Merk when I used MAF it was about 10 inches from the 4 inch inlet of the turbo. I didn't really think it means much. Package dictated placement. In 98 I switched to DFI and finally went faster

As I understand it, the MAF has to be far enough up/downstream from anything to have a smooth flow of air. It's harder to meter turbulent air, I suppose? On my eclipse, the stock location is 10" befo
