You guys have to know this answer. Someone I know goes out and buys a BIG dollar 37 Ford Street Rod which is a fiberglass replica. He says it is complete with a 37 Ford VIN number on his registration

In Colorado the dmv will stamp a vin into anything without one. No go The only other thing I know? God help you if the VIN on the car doesn't match the VIN on the title. (1973 car sold w/ wrong vin L
