- I understand your not wanting to invest to heavily in five holes. If you can, it would be a big help to just touch the work piece with an "0" center drill or smaller first. Gives the bit a good start

- Good idea Rich, I use center drills for 99% of the holes I drill. I also step drill to the larger sizes and in some cases ream for a good fit. Us old aircraft people were taught the proper way. Glen
