Reference Max's last comment, below...............if, indeed the M/C was replaced recently but the wrong fluid was used, the seals could well be going bad already and causing the black muck to appear

Always use Castrol, which is hard to find in my area. Have a bad habit of catching it in a jar and letting it settle and reusing it in an emergency (like out of fluid and the parts store has no more

Re-using Castrol LMA is a bad idea! Non-silicone brake fluid is very hygroscopic and absorbs moisture from the air very rapidly. As someone else suggested in a separate post, that may be contributing
