- Yes, that's the type I prefer. It works like a gear puller except that it lacks the pivoting hooks/arms. The body of the device fits over and around the tierod, and the screw forces the tie-rod end

- O.K., I've used that type before, but have never found one small enough for an MGB tie rod end. Where can I find one? If someone out there has one, what's the manufacturer's name? Ed Woods

- I think I replaced one that was worn when I got my MGBs, but since then they have been fine for 45k and 75k respectively, and are still 'stiff'. I can't recall having to replace one twice in my owner
