Looking at the Burlen site: http://www.burlen.co.uk/vehiclelist-searchengine.aspx only the TD "competition" (which I assume is the MKII) and the Triumph 1500 used the AUC 578 carbs - TFs used AUC 728

I just tried a King Dick adjustable spanner, the 4" size, on my engine. It fits and there is room to turn it. Billings, Hartford USA, made a similar spanner. Both of these are robust wrenches that o
