Dear Listers: Does anyone have any experience with alloy cyl heads for the MGB (non-crossflow)? Besides lower weight and better cooling, is there any performance benefit? Thanks for the info.... Matt

Theoretically, an aluminum head lets you run either more compression or more advance without detonation. Obviously, to take advantage of the compression concept would require more work. -- Max Heim '

My cast iron head was cracked. When I went looking at the replacement cost, the AL one was cheaper than the iron one. I should have done a V8 conversion. -- Andrew ___________________________________
