My only experience with running 2 12-volt batteries in parallel is with old Porsche 911s. In the early 70s Porsche stuck twin batteries (2 12 volts in parallel) as far forward as possible to improve

I can't see that happening unless one of the batteries was nearly short or the system was barely charging. At anything over 12.8v (normal charging voltage is 14.5v) both batteries will be charging. T
