It has been suggested to me that removing the breather pipe on the MGA will reduce the oil burned, and also that I should exchange the oil cap for a vented one. What is the logic on the breather pipe

Just make sure the breather pipe from the valve cover to the carb air cleaner is not clogged. (I run my breather pipe from the valve cover free of my carbs just because my carb air cleaner doesn't h

I am about to replace the filters with modern K&N filters from Moss. If the breather pipe cannot be connected, how did you dead end it? Is it cut off and floating, or did you attach it to something?

I second the breather pipe suggestions. Short of installing most of the MGB breather arrangement it seems that there is no way to have the MGA engine NOT drop oil on the highway. Either through the b

Mark, I don't understand the reason for disconnecting the valve cover breather pipe from the front air cleaner. It's meant to capture the oil vapor and prevent it from going into the air. If you fit
