Hi All, Does anyone have practical experience in converting a 1600 cc Nissan Fork Lift (Motor) from Propane over to Gasoline? Anyone know what is involved? Pictures or diagrams would be a great help,

Do you know what motor it is? 1600, so not an H20. Doesn't seem like the carburetion conversion should be too heinous. Any H20 or J15 folks know if you need to upgrade valve springs? == Marc Tyler Si

You would need a manifold and carburetors from a 1600. The H20 head also has very small ports so don't expect too much HP and the cam is for steady state RPMs and I wouldn't expect that to make any H

You will also need to change the valve springs as they are very very light in forklifts, with a redline around 4k. The Intake manifold on the h20 is for a downdraft carb, so bolting an aircleaner int

Hi Mark, unfortunatly most h20's use dished pistons, and when used with an r16 head the compression is always low (which is good for the lead free fuels i guess or if you want to wack a turbo on it ;
