I think the smog mount would work just fine if it were shimmed up some, but the critical piece is that front plate (like what Mike made)... standard on my 67 2000. I have seen conversions that had no

Thanks to all who have replied, especially to Mike who had a pic of what I had been thinking of doing. I had been wondering if the lower triangle bracket would work and if it was safe to do. PEACE :-
