How much do you care if the tile cracks ? In the house, I would drill the tile; but in the garage I wouldn't care if it cracks, so just shoot the nail. Randall ______________________________________

Maybe drill all the way through the tile and then use long tapcons to anchor the sill plate to the concrete below the tile? Even better, make sure that the sills line up with grout-lines and drill th

For a non-load-bearing wall, simple partition, you won't need much to hold it in place. I would drill through the tile to prevent cracking, then drill further in to the concrete to put a lead anchor
