That does look like insulating batting or filler and not the woven fabric one would use when laying up something in fiberglass. That's what I originally thought you were talking about. mjb. _________

It doesn't appear to be woven mat for lamination, but it seems to be too thin to be insulation. Is there any kind of woven scrim attached to it? If so, it may be some sort of bulk air filter material
