I am generally leery of HF tools. Sometimes they are cheap enough that one can justify buying 2 or 3 and still pay less than one 'quality' tool for a job you might only need a tool occasionally. But

I have a Harbor Freight one similar to this purchased a few years ago for $39 and it is a fair unit. I used it to reinforce several miter joints in 1x3 casing around exterior doors and it worked fine
