I want to put allen head plugs into the abandoned emissions air pump ports in a de-smogged 1275 head. I seem to remember they are threaded 7/16-20 UNF but am not sure. Can someone verify for me what

Use 1/8 pipe plugs. They work great. _______________________________________________ Support Team.Net http://www.team.net/donate.html http://www.team.net/archive http://autox.team.net/mailman/listinf

Hi John, Your memory is good. The thread is 7/16-20, and 1/4 or 3/8 long socket head set screws do a nice job. John Fogelsville, PA _______________________________________________ Support Team.Net ht

Nope. The B series head uses the same size as the A series. Dunno where the idea of 7/16 x 20 came from. 7/16" is a pretty damn big hole, actually. FAR too large for an air injection nozzle on a smal

Actually, Bud, where it came from is from personal experience of plugging 3 different B-series heads with exactly 7/16 - 20 X 1/2 hex-head plugs. Before my post I double checked my memory by going ou

The idea of 7/16-20 came from measuring the mating air manifold. It is a 7/16-20 UNFstraight thread, it is not a tapered pipe thread. 1/8 pipe is a bit smaller and the pitch is close so a 1/8-27 pipe

I've done a few Bs, myself, Larry. My memory is that they use the same size as the A series. Now, I don't consider my memory to be infallible, and the last B I did was about 10 years ago. Hopefully,

I've plugged with both 1/8" Pipe threads and 7/16" fine. They are very close and either will plug the holes. But, the 1/8" Pipe thread Allen plugs look better. Pipe threads are tapered. _____________
