Thanks Derf, I tried putting the old distributor back in which is not set up for the crane ignition and still no spark. Now it looks like I don't have a spark at the coil either. Tried swapping coils
I saw part numbers in the recent replies, but not years (for the counter '75-79 Midget 1500 '75-80 Spitfire I think also the RB MGB ran a 45D4 as well. BTW, these are all top-entry caps. -=Chris Chri
Years shouldn't matter if you have a part number. Most, if not all, are interchangeable. Those dizzys went into a bunch of different British cars. PPP should know all about interchange. _____________
Minute cracks in rotor (most likely suspect, Chris, especially with large plug gaps which "pull" a lot of electrons from upgraded ignition systems, coils, etc.) can be difficult to detect. Peter C. s
