I put a <$200 ebay top on my Miata and I am pleased with it. Installation is a long painful process. But, you don't have to spend $500 on a top. On the other hand the $500 tops are nice, too. _______

Yeah, get your guy to do it. I would gladly pay $75 every time for a pro to do it. You should be able to find a nice top for your price range. M*$$ and VB sell nice tops but I think they are overpric
