Hello Daniel1312, others who have done engine rebuilds will weigh in (never done one myself) but all the information that i pick up from EVERYWHERE is to break it in by driving it like you stole it!

I am aware of that view and even read a long article on it. However, it only stands as 'good' advice for bedding in the rings and bores. I've read nothing that suggests it's a good practice for main

Hello Daniel1312, the other thing.. change OIL.. i like once at 200 miles again at 500 miles, once at 1000 miles, once at 3000 miles .. .. to make SURE all the metal gets removed... my Two cents ...

Hi Bill, I've never changed the oil before 500 miles before but follow the 500 with a 1000. I always thought some of the bits in the oil was meant to help the wear in process? Doesn't sound like to g
