If I read correctly the problem is that the springs don't work. I understand that to mean the the door does not go up or stay up. The problem is as I read it is that the springs are not strong enough

Much of the advice received is good, as this is a complicated subject. In a normal installation the springs are tightly wound when the door is closed and as the door opens the springs unwind losing
