OK Folks I am out of ideas. At freeway speeds I can smell gas but when I stop it is not apparent where the gas is coming from. It seems like it has to be the float bowl overflows since all the lines

Double check your fuel line also. It does get old, especially if you grabbed a piece of non-fuel like in the past (me, me.) Also, the VW-style line with the woven fabric cover can hide minor leaks. T

You say that you have run thru a number of fuel filters- are they all the common "paper innards" type? You may do well to get one of the sintered type ones which filter down to 5 microns (.0005") or
