68 Midget with 1275 and HIF44 carb..... Any HIF-44 wizards out there? There's a nearby car show come Saturday I was thinking of taking the Midget to. I went out to the garage, checked the usual items

You have a stuck float valve Jim. It is stuck open I think. Tis overfilling and fuel is going out the bypass. Never seen a HIF44 but........... _______________________________________________ Edit yo

Jim The float is stuck, sort of like HS carbs but you have to take it off, turn it over, remove 4 screws and probably just wiggle it a bit. If it has sat a while, the needle is just gummed up. Jrs Mi
