I probably should have asked this much earlier....but oh well.. My 1275, now has a belt drive cam...and thus no crankcase breather on the timing cover.. and of course no side covers and no breather

Make the valve cover hole bigger but be sure your V/C has a baffle plate under the tube or the oil splash will get sucked out. Most have a baffle tab on the inside. -- Frank Clarici Toms River, NJ __

This is fine too IF you have a blanking plate. My A40 (Sprite 1275) fuel pump plate was part of the block casting. I had to drill and thread it but it's something you don't want to try with the block

The EMPI kit is a good way to go per Vigil however.... use of the "one way" filtered (vented)plastic oil filler cap in place of the solid (un-vented) cap will allow a limited amount of "inbound" air
