The clutch could be a little stuck or it could just be normal. Put the tranny in neutral and try pushing the car. Or, with the tranny in neutral try turning the driveshaft by hand with the motor off,

I have the motor/tranny out. Neutral does work. My concern was that if I put it in any gear and moved the lever towards the driveshaft end, nothing was disengaging. In fact, the lever feels loose as

I have underestimated the force of hydraulics. I didn't feel good about forcing it earlier. Force helps. Clutch is doing its thing with a few extra feet of leverage. Thanks everyone! Onto the brakes.

As Peter said, you will NOT be able to disengage the clutch without the hydraulics or a huge pipe unless you do not physically fit in a Spridget ;-) You can remove the rubber plug at the top of the
