- A week or two ago someone was talking about the nut on the top of the kingpin causing the upper trunion to lock the swivel. I took my front end apart today to replace the lower A arm rubber bushings

- The upper trunion should sit on a shoulder at the top of the kingpin. Adjusting the locknut will have no effect on the thrust washer. The shims sit on this shoulder to provide the correct clearance.
