Dick Run a clean, separate ground to the tach housing, that little ground on the knurled nut just doesn't cut it after 40 years. If it is really off on the rpms, it may need to be adjusted. Do this b

Hello Lindalnhvt, the best place to look if for another tach!... really, i went thru 3 or four before i got on that's almost good.... mine that works is heat sensitive.. that is, i reads one rpm/mph
