Where does the *#@& turn signal flasher can go? I can't find any orphaned wires or plugs in the right colors. I am not even sure there are any wrong colored orphaned wires in a likely place under the
IIRC, on a 74 the blinker flasher is with the hazard flasher. Mine were in the radio console. When I pulled the radio console I just tucked the wiring up under the dash and tied it to something. I th
P.S. You are pretty entertaining on "Dirty Jobs". Seems like you may be slumming a little with us Spridget types. _______________________________________________ Support Team.Net http://www.team.net/
NO. Two separate flasher relays. The one for the hazards is in the console. The one for the signals is under the hood on the front of the firewall near the hinge. David Lieb ________________________
I agree with two separate flashers, but I thought both of mine were in the radio console. I can't picture one under the hood on my 74, but I sold it a while back and can't go out and look at it anymo
Unless they changed it after 1968, the turn signal flasher is on the firewall, right side (starboard for you aviation and nautical types) next to the bonnet hinge. It grounds to the firewall. Cheers!
They did, but it seems only for the 1500s. Mine's on the RH side of the car on the firewall INSIDE the car. 2 prongs. Still has the hazard flasher in the console. -=Chris Chris King http://home.comca
That makes sense, near the fuse block, right? But the later Midgets all had the radio consoles and maybe a different place to put relays. _______________________________________________ Support Team.
My 72, my 73, my 74, and my previous 74 all had the signal flasher as described by Jim and the hazard flasher in the logical spot in the console. All of them had consoles, too. David Lieb 1972 1960 1
On the (2) 74 Midgets sitting in my garage, the signal flashers are under the dash on the right hand side. On my 71 it is on the firewall near the right bonnet hinge in the engine bay. Kevin V. _____
Okay. That settles it. They put them where ever the guy working that day on the factory line felt like... ;-) We got that figured out, now who buys the beer....? Cheers!! Jim -- Cheers!! Jim ________

Signal flasher is a 2 prong on a 74, it is up under the dash behind the glove box. hazard flasher is in the console. Bugeyes thru 67 had a 3 prong flasher under the bonnet near the right hinge. 68-70
NAPA ECH SL 153 To use this switch you need to rethread the pedal box so the switch will fit. IIRC, the threads on the switch are 10mm x 1.25pitch, but check them before you rethread the box. (It is
But that would be the brake light switch and NOT the brake pressure switch referenced in the subject line. _______________________________________________ Support Team.Net http://www.team.net/donate
Oh yeah, I did read that. I rip those useless thing out and put in a regular 4 way junction. Who needs a switch to tell you your brakes have failed AFTER you find out the pedal just went to the floor
Now that you mention it... Wat about the spridget generator and main beam lamps... How *do* you get that damn holder out of the speedo and tach housing -- Dave G. KK7SS '65 MK III Sprite in Richland,
The plastic holder is in the speedo and tach housings with thin metal eared tabs. They should pull right out. I have snapped a few of those metal tab things but a simple copper wire shoved in along w
Uhh......Thanks..... I guess. But I can't afford enough beer for all the people who weighed in on this one. I spent all my money on parts. Michael Rowe ______________________________________________
