I think the rubber helps with the wear and tear on the (fragile) A-arms. Good rubber is hard to find, though. Maybe some of that softer poly that another lister mentioned is the answer. Cheers, Derf

I got the set of rubber bushings from Peter. I can only trust he gets the best he can find at the time. It would be interesting to know who supplies the poly bushes that are the consistency of rubber

Good point(s), Derf. I'd overlooked the effect of road shock on the A-arms, with the "hard" bushings. Bud I think the rubber helps with the wear and tear on the (fragile) A-arms. Good rubber is hard

My first 67 Sprite needed new trunnion bushings in 1972, so the originals lasted 5 years. I failed inspection due to them. I have bought plenty of new bushings over the years and the rubber ones last
